Recruiting corrections officers when nobody’s applying
Situation
A regional jail needed to hire 25 corrections officers in a tight labor market and came to NBC-29 for help filling the pipeline.
Action
I built the digital recruitment strategy end to end: audience targeting, geofenced display and video ads, a 28,000-send targeted email keyed to geo-location, education, and criminal-justice interest, and a dedicated landing page engineered for form-fills and click-to-calls — followed by a 10-day retargeting wave.
Result
- 96,000+ targeted display & video impressions via geofencing and interest targeting
- 63,000 core-site impressions; +23,000 from retargeting
- 6,800 email opens at a 23.81% open rate
